Cost Control gives you a live view of expenditure against budget. Because it draws on the same data as the rest of SOFIA, you see overspend as it builds — not three weeks later in a report.

A budget you only check at month-end is a post-mortem. A budget you can see filling up in real time is a tool you can actually steer with.

Who it’s for

Cost Control suits Cypriot businesses with budgets to defend — a finance manager watching departmental spending, a project leader protecting a job’s margin, an owner who wants to know where the money is going without waiting for the accountant. If your budgets currently live in a spreadsheet that is always slightly out of date, this replaces it with something live.

In practice

A department is given a quarterly budget. As invoices and expenses come in through SOFIA, the spending updates against that budget automatically.

Halfway through the quarter, one category is running hot; the variance is flagged, the manager sees it, and the conversation happens now — not after the money is gone.
